We are a small, local team based in San Andrés Island, Colombia, led by Captain Erwin Howard, a seasoned fisherman who has spent decades exploring the island’s waters.

His intimate knowledge of the Caribbean and years of hands-on experience ensure that every guest receives a safe, exciting, and memorable tour—whether it's a fishing expedition or a relaxing boat cruise.

While we specialize in private sportfishing trips, our goal goes beyond catching fish. Escamas Travels is about experiencing San Andrés in its most authentic way—aboard a boat, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, tropical breeze, and good company.

For those seeking peace and scenery, we offer non-fishing boat tours, including sunset cruises, snorkeling excursions, and coastal explorations. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, there's always something new to discover with us.

Captain Erwin Howard comes from a long line of island fishermen. With over 20 years of experience navigating the Caribbean, he brings both knowledge and heart to every journey. His calm leadership, attention to safety, and passion for the sea make him more than a captain—he's your local guide and host on the water.

We are proud to offer Escamas Fly Fishing Academy for guests interested in learning or practicing fly fishing. From bonefish to tarpon, our flats and reefs offer incredible opportunities for fly anglers.
